A true prophet is defined as one who’s words tend to make people uncomfortable or angry. They are often persecuted and whatever they say happens. A false prophet is someone who speaks give others what they want to hear, they set a bad example. When looking at Martin Luther King Jr., the question is where does he fit. Personally I think he fits a true prophet more so than a false prophet. Technically he was fighting the accepted rules at the time which might be setting a bad example even though it was for a better cause. Yet he was often persecuted because of his message. If people didn’t agree they didn’t respect him or his supporters. Eventually his dreams came true, it’s just a shame he didn’t get to personally see the view from the mountaintop.
